Ask the menu anything

MenuVoice gives every table an AI host that answers guests from your real menu, in their own language, takes the order and calls your staff. A full floor still feels well served.

Guests scan the QR code on the table. No app for guests, no new hardware, live in a day.

Spice Garden Table 4

Ask about the menu

Guests have questions. Your waiters are busy.

What’s good here? Is it enough for two? Can it be less spicy? Is it Jain, is it eggless? At peak hour, every one of them pulls a captain away from another table. MenuVoice answers in about a second, using only the dishes, prices and details you approve.

Built for a short-staffed floor. About 6 in 10 restaurant staff leave within a year (TeamLease, 2023). Your captains spend the rush on service, not on repeating the menu.

An example conversation with the Spice Garden demo restaurant.

What’s your bestseller here?

Is the biryani enough for two?

Can I get the paneer butter masala less spicy?

Anything Jain, without onion or garlic?

Is the gulab jamun eggless?

Scan. Ask. Order. Served.

  1. Scan Each table has its own QR card, so orders and waiter calls arrive with the table number. Opened the menu without scanning? Guests scan the card from inside the page.
  2. Ask Type or say it, in English or their own language: “something mild for my kid”, “what goes with biryani?”. Answers come with photos, prices and veg marks.
  3. Order “Two butter naan and one paneer tikka” becomes a cart line with the right quantities. Nothing is added without a tap.
  4. Serve Your captain accepts it on the staff board, then it goes to the kitchen as usual. Guests watch it move from received to served.

Every dish with its photo, veg mark, spice level and price, and an Add button. Your specials and chef’s picks come first.

Your team’s side of it

Captains and managers use the phones they already have. No new hardware, no training day.

The staff Tables page: Lock, Move, Take payment and Release buttons above an order being prepared

For your captains

  • Waiter calls and bill requests arrive with the table number, in under a second.
  • Nothing reaches the kitchen until a captain accepts it. No fake or wrong orders.
  • Every table at a glance: who’s seated, what’s ordered, what’s served, what’s unpaid.
  • Change a quantity, move a party, lock a table. Every action is kept in the table’s history.
  • Take payment first or at the end, with GST on every bill.
The manager’s Menu page: dishes with photos, an Edit button and an on/off switch each

For the manager

  • Switch dishes off as they run out. Mark specials and chef’s picks.
  • Write today’s special once; the AI quotes it when guests ask.
  • Upload your Excel or paste from WhatsApp. The AI reads it, you check every dish.
  • Print QR cards, reissue a code, open any table’s history.
  • Results on your phone: scans, questions, orders, languages.

No table scan, no order. Guests give a name and mobile once. Without scanning a table card they only see the menu.

Hindi, Marathi, Tamil… it replies in whatever they ask in

Guests can type or speak in English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali or Hinglish. MenuVoice replies in the language they use, and dish names stay exactly as they are on your menu.

Spoken orders become a cart with the quantities they said. If a dish isn’t on the menu, it suggests the closest one and keeps the quantity.

  • Hinglish Paneer mein sabse best kya hai? What’s the best paneer dish?
  • हिन्दी क्या दाल मखनी में प्याज़-लहसुन है? Is there onion or garlic in the dal makhani?
  • ಕನ್ನಡ ಖಾರ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇರುವ ಡಿಶ್ ಯಾವುದು? Which dishes are less spicy?
  • தமிழ் இது இரண்டு பேருக்கு போதுமா? Is this enough for two?
  • తెలుగు వెజ్ లో ఏది బాగుంటుంది? What’s good in veg?
  • मराठी आजचं स्पेशल काय आहे? What’s today’s special?
  • বাংলা মিষ্টি কী আছে? What desserts do you have?

It only says what’s on your menu

No invented dish, price or ingredient. When your menu doesn’t say, MenuVoice says so.

Jain, eggless and allergy questions follow fixed rules: a dish is only called nut-free or gluten-free when your kitchen has verified it, and guests are always reminded to confirm with staff. Dishes you switch off are never suggested.

Try it on half your tables. Keep it if the numbers say so.

Other menus promise 20–30% bigger bills. We let you check. Turn MenuVoice on for half your tables and keep the plain menu for the rest. Your results page shows the order rate and average bill for each.

Questions

Do guests need to download an app?

No. They scan the QR code on the table and MenuVoice opens in the phone’s browser. No sign-up.

Does it replace our waiters?

No. It answers the routine questions and takes the order into a cart. Your staff accept every order on the staff board, and guests can call a waiter at any time.

Can it get our menu wrong?

It answers only from the menu you approve. Prices on screen come straight from your menu, unavailable dishes are never suggested, and when the menu doesn’t say something, it says so.

What about allergies?

A dish is only called free of an allergen when your kitchen has marked that information as verified. Otherwise MenuVoice sends the guest to your staff.

Some of our guests won’t like a QR menu.

Your paper menu and your waiters stay. MenuVoice is there for guests who want it, and one tap brings a waiter to the table.

Which languages does it speak?

English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali and Hinglish, typed or spoken. It replies in the language the guest uses and keeps dish names as they are on your menu.

Can guests misuse it?

Nothing works without scanning the QR card on a table, and guests give their name and mobile once before they can ask or order. Without a table scan they only see the menu. Staff can lock a table at any time.

Does it work with Petpooja or our POS?

Alongside it. Orders reach your staff board and your captain punches them into your billing system as usual. A direct connection is on our roadmap.

Who sees what a table ordered?

Your captains see every open table live, and managers can open any table’s history: visits, orders, bills, payments and every staff action, with the guest’s name.

What does it cost?
